Registration is now open for a one-day inter-disciplinary conference on Music and Transcendence to be held in Cambridge on November 29, 2011. All papers and performances will consider the ways in which music relates to infinite and ultimate meaning as well as the ways in which music enables
the creation of meaning and fulfilment within an immanent frame.
Keynote talks include:
- Effing the ineffable, Professor Roger Scruton
- In the Beginning, There Was Improvisation: Responding to the Call, Professor Bruce Ellis Benson
- Music and the Beyond: A Millennium of Witness, Professor Christopher Page
